The tests will also seek to find out what type of cancer it is. The test will include x rays, biopsies and others. There are several treatment options for pleural mesothelioma and other treatments have not yet been approved. The known treatments which can provide a cure are surgery. The tumor is surgically removed and other treatments are administered to prevent a re-occurrence.
